Do you still watch video content on LaserDisc purely for nostalgic purposes or are there technical benefits?

I'm genuinely curious and not asking to be snide. I have no personal experience with LD but still own a VCR and some VHS tapes so I know for a fact that their resolution is atrocious now (even on a CRT) and what charm there is to appreciate has to do with how dated the format is.

Disregarding alternate cuts and the often better/large sleeve art, I'm curious about LD audio/video quality when compared to 4K & Blu; many enthusiasts seem adamant that LDs still look really nice (despite now being an objectively inferior resolution) and that mixes for certain film's are sonically superior (not just preferred for being the original).
