Question about loot lizards in Season 2

I have heard that loot lizards are getting reduced in Season 2. Does anyone have any information / sources for that? My son and I love playing LE together and loot lizards are one of the most fun parts

If they are being reduced, for end game balance reasons or similar, would it be possible to leave them as is in the campaign? When we play together, it’s almost always in the campaign.

Either way, we are both really looking forward to Season 2. He just turned 6, but he already knows every single zone and waypoint, most of the characters, and a lot of the dialogue. It can be a little awkward when he starts quoting Majasa saying: “What are you doing my pitiful vessel maiden?” but still love the experience we have shared.
