Just had to call off

Due to really bad weather, I had to call off. I wanted to put down some time I've saved up to at least cover part of my shift (I have a few hours of vacation time, not enough for my full 8 hour shift but enough to cover 6.5 hours of it) and wanted to know the process for that. Do I just "request" time off of today through the UKG app?
