First impression

Received my Claw 8 yesterday.

Claw 8 is noticeably bigger and heavier than original claw, which I'm not complaining. I bought the original claw just before Claw 8 was first leaked and returned it 3 times before I realized RB/LB buttons on that damn thing was just design issue. I loved everything else about it tho but decided to wait for this one. I'm so glad I waited.

I only had couple hours to play with last night as the setup took a bit and was only able to try poe 2.

Display - It's not a deal breaker as many are asking for oled vrr. I have oled TV and oled screen on my phone and I'm perfectly happy with how good this screen looks.

Battery - with 4 hours of testing different poe 2 settings, I was already impressed by battery life compared to original claw. I need to test the battery so I'm prepared for 12 hours flight in 2 months.

Controls - the biggest deal breaker for me on the original claw. Clicks on claw 8 is crisp except the D - pad. D pad sucks. You have to be precise with directions or it will press side buttons as well. I see why people said analog stick felt light/loose. Not really an issue for me but a bit more resistance would've been nice.

Poe 2 - I only had couple hours to try it out but I think I found the setting I like so far. And to play poe 2 with good quality, you need lossless scaling. Without it, i had to tank quality big time to achieve playable fps.

1200 x 800 30w (expect about half of fps with 17w)

All default settings except turned off global illumination. Dynamic resolution off. ran around 40fps Avg with dipping below 30's on high density or boss fights(without lossless scaling).

As I'm away from my devices, I can't recall exact settings but I'll be more than happy to post more details. And device is pretty buggy/choppy/laggy but one of the reason I waited for claw over other handheld is direct intel update.
