MSI Stealth 15M: mouse left click not working while in game

First time user here, bought a brand new Stealth 15M and am using it with a MSI-branded mouse. Although the left click works when doing everything else but gaming, it just gives up while I'm in any sort of game (battlefront, MC, etc). Any tips on how to fix this?
