Homozygous A1298C

Hi everyone,

I had a horrible miscarriage November 2024 that led to me almost bleeding out and emergency surgery. This was a shock as I’ve already had 2 children with no complications before except excessive blood loss during deliveries.

My OB did a complications panel and we have found that I have a homozygous prevention of the A1298c MTHFR gene mutation. He recommend specific vitamins to take (Thorne brand) which I have been for over a month now and feel good. We want to try for another baby and he recommend baby aspirin when I get pregnant again and potentially progesterone supplementation. Has anyone been recommended this for my genotype? I don’t feel like he saw my specific genotype and just saw the MTHFR result but from what I’ve been googling it says to avoid baby aspiring with my presentation? Any advice is helpful thank you
