First game hours longer than expected

It was our first game tonight in a long time and we had to relearn how everything worked. It took us four hours from first sitting down to partway into turn two where we had to pause for the night.

I'm used to things like 40k taking a good five hours to play, but do average games normally run longer than two hours?
