I'm half Iraqi Mandaean, will I be accepted?

My mother is English and my father is an Iraqi Mandaean. My father hasn't been baptized and does not believe in religion, but I do. I would love to be Mandaean and especially would love to be baptized, but I have read that the children of Mandaeans that marry non Mandaeans aren't allowed in the religion. I'm worried that the Iraqi side of my family won't support me, especially since my grandmothers father and his father were both respected preists, and may look down on me since I am not of full descent. Since this is obviously a Mandaean community I wanted to get advice from people here :D thank you, have a nice day/night !
