Here's my thoughts on Party 2
Lack of Multiplier: Favored PvP teams in my opinion. It also just made recovering from a poor early half practically impossible.
SkyBattle: No issue with the map itself. That said, I didn't like how it was forced when we already had 2 PvP games already played. I know Noxcrew can't read the future, but just having a PvP game guaranteed to be played is kind of.... interesting.
The Sands skip: I love both Battle Box and Sands of Time about equally. However, I have to say that SOT is just a far better game to end the Season with. It's more iconic and provides SOT Sundays so what's not to love. I can't say that about Battlebox unfortunately.
The BattleBox bonus objective: This basically felt like a middle finger to weak PvP teams, in my opinion once again.
Predominance of PvP: I'm of course biased against PvP because of my usual POV's. That said this is my post so live with it. Of course this is no one's fault and more just a result of chance, but I didn't like the result 🤷♂️.
Lobby game: I genuinely skipped it every time it came up...
No December event and end of season: I think this is what leaves me with the sourest taste in my mouth honestly. If this event didn't mark the end of the season or no Christmas event it would not have been so badly received. I think making Season 4 so short was a bad decision by Noxcrew, but we also all make bad decisions so I'm not holding that against them. I'm still a bit salty of no Christmas event though haha.
Overall thoughts: This was not a bad event. However, this is also an event I will literally never watch again. This of course mostly comes down to my POV which was red and not because I have any enormous gripes with the event. An MCC is still an MCC after all.
Edit: I just realised there also was no DB 20v20. Don't they usually do them every last MCC of the year?
