Miraculous rewrite- The Order of the Guardians plus Powers
Okay so a day or so ago I launched a post to see if anyone is interested in a mlb rewrite (https://www.reddit.com/r/MiraculousFanfiction/s/ClMwllpudr) and well... here's some plot info! Don't know if I will go through with this all yet but if I do it will be way darker than the current show offers and will look something like this:
The Kwamis are basically the physical form of concepts that shape reality. They keep it in balance. Kwamis are connected/bound to a special type of metal that was found centuries ago within a volcano area in China and thus originated The Order of the Guardians, a what was once very small group of people who saw Kwamis as God like and seeked to help them balance the universe.
They used the metal and created it into wearable items and such and the Kwamis evolved to suit their jewelry and the new team up with humans for example they made the idea of transformations possible etc.
Once you are bound to a Kwami via a 'soul bond', you cannot take of your miraculous until your soul is 'drained' and there is nothing left of who you once were. Being 'drained' is basically you being changed as a person, your humanity is completely lost and your the opposite of how you were before. If you continue to use the miraculous after you have been 'drained' it hurts your physically and mentally.
There are a number of ways draining can happen from ancient rituals to torchure. It's used as a defensive mechanism; basically when one turns truly evil the bond is broken and the Kwami rejects them, eventually leading to their death.
So for example, when Gabriel begins to use his miraculous for evil purposes that starts the draining process. The hero's to start with think that they can change him, and start a re fill process however they are wrong.
Gabriel in this universe tries to kill LB and CN, its either that or attempt to drain them, which is a long process he doesn't want to do at first however he realises they won't stop and... Well he starts the process of attempting to break them.
Fu chooses children to bond with the Kwamis since younger souls bond quicker than older ones and, well, since the moth was activated he needed to act quick.

Alright so powers.
Obviously the Black Cat miraculous and the Ladybug miraculous are the two strongest and our main miraculouses so I will focus on those.
Ladybug:
Regeneration- Basically a healing ability. At first she can only use it on herself to heal minor injuries however later on she can use it on others to heal major injuries aswell as herself. She can also regenerate giant infrastructures however to keep the universes balance intact can not bring someone back to life.
Purification- She can purify akumas. When an akuma is purified, its effects on humans will be undone however effects on things like buildings will not.
Lucky Charm- Allows her to create an object that can be used to solve a problem however she has to figure out how to use it with only minor hints from the miraculous.
Chat Noir:
Shadow Blend- He can literally become shadows. Can be used for stealth and such.
Cataclysm- Destructive energy that originates on the hand that has his ring on. Allows him to destroy anything he touches. It's the ONLY thing able to destroy an akumatised object or damage a miraculous. If someone gets hit but its it basically acts as a huge wound and makes them ill.
Enhanced Sences- Basically gives him the senses of a cat.
Combining these two allows a wish to be made, very simular concept to the show as of right now.
I will probably add more to their skill set. The other miraculous stay the the same.
Transformation Limit- Haven't figured this out yet, will edit if I do.
