G3 Monster high is unfathomably popular amongst kids

Most people know it is popular but it took me real life experiences to understand how popular it actually is.

One of my coworkers revealed once that her granddaughter likes goth and wednesday stuff and told me that she now wants “those barbies with scary black eyes”. My first thought obviously was lol omg but after showing her several doll lines and only then showing MH, she was like “yes those scary barbies”.

And then today another one of my coworkers revealed she bought her granddaughter a SS2 clawdeen because she wrote it as a wish for santa. She was confused why her g.daughter would like clawdeen but wasnt creeped out or pearl clutching.

To me this is insane as we are in a random european country and these dolls are MAD expensive here. It is now endlessly interesting to me where these kids heard of MH and how the “disease” spreaded.

I was honestly expecting MH to be not as popular as kids nowadays have been ruined by their parents. Toys seem to struggle to compete with phones.

Maybe through all this tiktok promo they found MH?
