Is it time for MH to get difficulty settings?

The series has always been about Low Rank = Tutorial, G-rank/Master = hard mode. Is it time to finally get a way to customise difficulty to our own individual liking? No change to low rank = easier, but custom settings we could set ourselves.

It cannot be done at character creation, as that wouldnt work with multiplayer. However, what about lobby-based settings? When you make a solo or public lobby, you could change monster HP, damage, stagger rates & part HP. Default being 100%, then up to something crazy like 500%.

Would that work? Seems to me like it would be the best way, if so. Each player could change the difficulty to what they are comfortable with. Not only would it end complaints about difficulty, it would also add replayability for players that enjoy challenging themselves.
