Cooking NET-4 For Everyone
Just gave my applied sciences net. So, here's everything I can recall about the test.
PHYSICS :-There were about 40 theory based and 20 numerical based questions. Overall the physics portion just had some basic ahh questions. Nothing to be afraid of, if you've gone through the syllabus. 1st 4 ch. of 2nd year physics & nuclear physics. Force and motion, work and energy, circular motion, light, vectors. These were high yield topics. Basically, for physics 2-3 mcqs from all ch. (basic not much advanced, only like 15-20 out of 60 were conceptual and included calculations).
Chemistry :-Most of the questions in chem and bio were information based(ratta) like, what is the formula of cryolite, what is the number of bones in axial skeleton. You get the idea. There were many questions from inorganic chem than expected. Imp topics were:- basic organic chem (1st 4 ch. upto aldehyde & ketones) & 1st 2 ch. of inorganic chem, atomic structure, moles, electrochemistry, chemical equilibrium. Chem mcqs were like 25 physical chem(1st year), 15 organic, 10 inorganic. Overall there were more questions from 1st year chem than 2nd year.
Biology :- I've only seen like 2-3 mcqs each from kingdom animalia & plantae. Kingdom plantae questions were just shit, you better skip reading that and guess that shit in exam. Kingdom animalia questions were tolerable, they were mainly from the basic classification. Last 4 ch. of bio 11, dna & chromosomes, cell, bioenergetics, enzymes, bones. Also, do prepare the biomolecules ch. and cell cycle one. I saw many mcqs from these ch.
English :- 3-4 vocab, 5-8 reading & comprehension, 5-6 spellings, basic grammar/common sense.
Intelligence:- 3-4 number series, 3-4 coding decoding, 2-3 relationship between family members/related questions.
Conclusion: And mcqs were mainly bookish lines from ptb, so don't consider any book other than ptb. All the topics mentioned above are from punjab textbook board. Overall the questions were mainly just basic info and not that much conceptual. No need to be nervous it is going to be easier than you've expected. Just give the whole syllabus a thorough read and a little bit of practice only for physics and you'll be good to go. Yup that'll be enough.
Basically, I'm giving mdcat. So, I just appeared in net with whatever I had prepared for my mcat. I suppose kips fung has advanced questions like their mcat practice books, but the questions in net were just basic as shit. You've got this!!! Guys please upvote I need to increase my karma:)
