What comes after bidding?

Hello everyone!

Does anyone have information about the basics of the bidding process, like if we bid on a house, how long does it take us to hear back if our bid is accepted?

Do we get informed about the position of our bidding like second, third or etc? Or is it just a yes or no?

How long does the bank takes to answer on our mortgage?
