Distribution of good and bed sleepers
My partner and I are starting to think our baby is the definition of a “midlife bad sleeper.” He’s almost 9 months old, but he wakes up every 1–2 hours. The longest stretch of sleep he’s ever had was 4 hours—and that only happened once. He’s also difficult to transfer to the crib and needs to be rocked for all naps and bedtime.
We have several friends with kids, and all of them seem to have better sleepers. Every single one. And none of them used sleep training!
What are the odds of having a “bad sleeper”? I thought sleep struggles were more universal, but maybe we just have unusually lucky friends.
