What does ”you’ve been red pilled” mean?

Can someone please explain what all the various “pills” mean? I see them used all the time and I’m not quite sure what it means. I’ve seen “red pilled” and “blue pilled” and today I heard “black pilled”. I assume this has something to do with the Matrix, but I don’t remember enough about the movie to understand the context when these are used. Thank you.
