Why do cushionless chairs exist?
Like, what's the point? Isn't the point of a chair for it to be comfortable and supportive? Why would you purposefully design a chair to be a flat hard wood surface without any cushion on it at all? Even a basic, thin foam would be better than nothing but I genuinely do not understand the point of making a straight up wooden, uncomfortable and hard chair in this day and age, like, who would buy that? (Other than a school)
