I’m submitting my Expression of Interest (EOI) for the OINP Masters Graduate Stream and have a few questions regarding what to fill in certain fields.

Work Experience & Income Questions

I am currently doing a co-op, which will end in April 2025, but I don’t want to claim additional points for a $40K income since I haven't earned that much yet. How should I fill in the following fields?

1. Select the occupation of your Canadian work experience if applicable:
   • Should I select "N/A" since this is a co-op, or should I choose my current role?
2. What is the hourly base wage for your current employment in Canada?
   • Should I enter my co-op wage, or leave it blank?
3. Please enter your full-time equivalent work experience in Canada in the last 5 years:
   • Should I leave it blank since a co-op might not count towards this?
4. What was your total highest pre-tax income as stated on your Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment in any one of the last 5 years?
   • Since I don’t want to claim the 40K points, should I enter what was actually reported on my NOA or leave it blank?

Implied Status Confusion

I am currently on implied status with a work permit extension (WP-EXT) that expires in June 2025. Here’s how I’ve filled the status-related fields:

• Do you have legal immigration status in Canada? → YES
• Indicate your current immigration status: → Maintained/Implied Status
• Indicate the immigration status you held before entering into implied status: → Student

After selecting Student, two additional fields appear:

1. Client ID number → I entered it as 00-0000-0000
2. Expiration Date of Current IRCC Document (dd/mm/yyyy) → ???
   • Should I enter my student permit expiration date or my work permit extension expiration date (June 2025)?

Would appreciate any guidance from those who have been through this process. Thanks in advance!
