Writer seeking to swap to e-ink; which device?

Hi, all. I'm really hoping someone can help me out.

I'm a writer with increasing levels of eye strain and concern about it, and I want to finally get an e-ink device. I do a lot of typing, so the device will absolutely need a workable keyboard. I've been looking into the Boox Note Air4 C, but I haven't found a whole lot of detailed experience reviews about it.

I'm curious about user experiences with it and other Boox models. Does anyone here use these devices for typing, and can it edit and/or create .docx files (or easily convert into those files without losing formatting)? What program(s) would I be using to accomplish such things, and what is best for doing so on this device? Would you recommend it for such a purpose?

Basically, what I want is to be able to comprehensively write (type, on a keyboard) a book in the same way I would use Word or Scrivener to draft them on my PC, and then be able to put that file onto my PC for finalizing and publication without losing the formatting. I am fine with it not always being on a cloud, by the way; I'm willing to move files with USB sticks and the like.

Thank you so much for your help!
