Question about Orthobros, Parish Life, and Larping

I cannot visit a parish at the moment due to problems on transport. I have to board on a ship to at least get to the nearest parish, so I decided to write a post here.

I've recently received larping accusations, and that Orthodoxy is not what I expect it to be. Yes, I listen to Fr. Heers and Fr. Trenham and do love the edits and traditionalism overall (not only in Orthodoxy but in other religions as well such as Shintoism). I also do not expect communities to be bunch of "aspiring warriors aspiring to retake Constantinopole": that should be self-evident. That being said, I do expect to see a tradition manifested that has been maintained for 2000 years, great reverence for worship, and disdain for political correctness and other vain things: no one dances on the altar (like the ones in Roman Catholic novus ordo parishes), no modernized and secularized music, men are all dressed up in formal attire, women are not skimpily dressed and are veiled, and moreover, there is a focus on overcoming the old man and defeating sin, especially in an age where nihilism and sins of self-abuse are commonplace. Am I expecting the wrong things? What do people usually mean when they accuse someone of larping? What does the phrase 'Orthodoxy is not what you expect it to be' mean when it's usually used?
