I find the promotional strats from some ppop groups concerning

I'm a ppop fan and a lurker here, so finally decided to make an account just to air out my thoughts.

Just like the title, I find some ppop groups' way to promote their singles concerning. I'm going to name a few examples at the top of my head right now to illustrate what I mean:

1st One's Problem Child •They did this stint wherein they pretended like something bad is going on with the members individually and then even made a statement that one could easily interpret as a possible disbandment. It's emotional manipulation as a way to promote a single. The song and the music video did not justify what they did (and tbh, nothing imo justifies that)

BGYO's Bulalakaw and Patintero • iirc, for Bulalakaw, they also did this interview thingy similar to their recent stint with Patitero that is like an appeal to emotions? Paawa? It makes them look pathetic imo and I don't think it's doing them any good to keep doing that.

G22's Loka • Although they said those who participated consented, it still screams peer-pressured drinking culture to me and it seems irresponsible for a supposed idol group. I'm not saying that they are not allowed to drink but just the way that it was done was just questionable. Idk if they see that as something fun/ny but it's not (imo at least)

Yara's Eksena • Saw a video of one of the members suddenly dancing while inside the MRT and I hope that they had a permit to do that because afaik it's not allowed to film inside the MRT. Even then, it feels like promoting doing this clout chase-y, publicity stunts at the expense of unwilling bystanders.

Idk, I think there are so many other ways to promote because some groups are doing quite well without resorting to these questionable tactics.
