PVCs Are Wrecking My Peace (and My Marriage) – Need Honest Experiences

Hi everyone,

I’m a 32M and have been dealing with PVCs for over a month now, confirmed by two separate 24-hour Holter tests in the last few weeks. Both showed 7% of my heartbeats are PVCs – around 7,000 a day.

I’ll admit I’m a bit of a hypochondriac, and my wife thinks I’m overreacting. She keeps saying, “The doctors said it’s not life-threatening, so just live with it.” But this time feels different because I’m backed by objective evidence; Holter results, ECGs, and constant symptoms like a pounding in my throat that I can’t ignore.

The doctor mentioned that some people don’t notice their PVCs and live fine, but others struggle to cope and eventually seek treatments like ablation. This has become a big argument between my wife and me – she thinks I should just deal with it, but I feel like I can’t keep living like this.

So I’m asking: How many PVCs do you have, and do you live with them peacefully, or do they feel unbearable? If you’ve managed to make them bearable, what worked for you?
