Communication was fast and responsive, prices are great, and shipping went off without a hitch and was also very quick. I recommend NecoClock and plan to order again in the future. Review of the V7F Mark XX

I’ve always wanted an IWC Mark and I thought this would be a good candidate for a rep given its straightforward design. Not having handled a gen yet unfortunately means I can’t make comparisons to the real thing.

I specifically got the black Mark XX to be worn casually, which it does extremely well with how it dresses down on different straps. In addition to the strap in the pics, I have tan and green nylon nato straps that it pairs nicely with and a dark brown leather strap on the way. I’ve been wearing it for a week and here are my general impressions:

Pros

⁃ The weight is great for a daily wear

⁃ Sits well on my 7” wrist

⁃ The movement is quiet

⁃ Casual luxury that pairs with lots of straps

Neutral observations

⁃ Edges are sharp on the underside of the lugs but it doesn’t affect the comfort of wearing the watch.

⁃ I don’t know how the lume is on gen, but it seems pretty weak on the rep.

Cons

⁃ The “N” of “schaffhausen” is slightly raised at the bottom and smaller than the other letters. Subtle yes, but it’s there.

⁃ The black leather strap it comes with is poor quality and I swapped it immediately. To its credit the strap does have the quick swap system as gen does.

Yes I could’ve gotten this watch on the bracelet, but I saw other reviews about how the rep bracelets don’t sit properly on the wrist so I chose additional savings. Also this is a watch that I’m strongly considering buying in gen over the next few months (blue face with bracelet) so I’ll compare my rep to gen and make a final decision.

What’s next? Maybe an Explorer or Tudor Black Bay.
