Roadie’s problematic conformation process.
Personally, I think there are a couple of things Roadie could be doing better with regard to confirming that you have a gig.
While they often send us messages informing us that we DIDN’T get a gig, they seem more lax on sending them when they DO get them. Now, maybe some of you will disagree, but I think the later is more important to know about. Maybe they could send us actual SMS messages and I also think it needs a distinct sound. Something like the DoorDash “ding ding” but less annoying.
This is because most human beings don’t like to stare at a screen for 15 minutes. It might seem like it’s some people’s idea of a good time, but for most of us… naw.
Another thing DoorDash could change is that when we accept a gig from some chains, they want us to take a selfie. And we can’t just press a button and do it, the phone decides when it’s good enough to take. Yet, if you’re driving, it’ll keep saying “hold steady, hold steady…” because you often get these offers accepted while you’re on the freeway.
Why do these companies need them anyway? Don’t they see our profile pics? The people at the stores don’t know or care.
