Towed Vehicle

I let a friend of mine use my car. Unfortunately he was arrested on a probation violation in the city of Rochester and they towed the vehicle. They didn’t give him any information on where it had been towed.

He was released 2 days later and we still can’t locate the vehicle. I tried searching based on the license and vin number at the city of Rochester tow yard but nothing comes back. Is it possible they haven’t added the car to the system? Is there someplace else I could look or a place to call?
