Normal wear and tear or hail damage?
I’ve had 2 roofers give their professional opinions, insurance is saying it’s normal wear and tear of the roof. Yes it’s the original roof from when we bought the house when it was built. For reference we live in Moore, OK. The 2013 tornado was 7 streets over and we didn’t have any damage. The 2015 tornado hit our neighborhood but to the south, again no damage to the house or roof. In 2022 we refinanced the house and don’t remember the company saying anything about it when they did their inspection. But in 2023 and 2024 we have had hail storms a lot. On 4/19/23 the hail reports say we had 2-4” of hail on that date in the area. In May and June of 2024 we had some smaller hail as well. So is this wear and tear or did hail cause the holes in the shingles down to the fiberglass?
