Should I start looking for a new job?

I’m a roofing sales consultant who generates all my deals through cold calling over the phone. My clients appreciate my strong work ethic, which has helped me succeed in this role.

Recently, my branch manager—who is located two hours away—decided to lay off our local receptionist, service manager, and superintendent. For context, we’re a greenfield commercial roofing company with multiple branches, and each branch operates within a two-hour radius.

My city falls within the territory of the branch that’s two hours away. They’ve stated that all service and production work for my area will now be handled by that branch.

Has anyone been through a similar situation?

I’m struggling to see how this setup can work long-term. Any insights or advice would be appreciated.
