Commercial bid
Good evening,
I am trying to break into the commercial side of roofing. I have been invited out to a church to give a bid and I am looking for some advice towards winning a bid like this. 1. Price, obviously we have to fall within the budgets and I know how to price residential like nothing. Bigger the job- lower margins. That’s my understanding. Should I bid lower than average margins( 30-40%) in order to compete?
Upgrades: I can offer a plethora of them around this property. I want to know about your experiences when it comes to “upselling” certain aspects.
Value- What other value can I bring outside of my good work and NDL warranties? I have maintenance plans in place god forbid it’s needed. My roofers are great. My time on site is always met with minimal concerns and I am proud of the work I do.
⛔️ caution ⛔️ What should I be looking for when it comes to a church? These kinds of projects are not the same as regular commercial jobs as we all know. Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly.
TIA
