Do you inform owners about other pet bookings?

Hi. I’m trying to be very transparent with my owners. If when they book with me for future dates when there is no other dogs staying besides theirs, I tell them. If I’m later getting requests to book during the same dates as their dog is staying, I let them know who, what breed, the age, energy level etc. I inform them about each dog.

Do you do the same? I feel like those who boards 6-8 dogs at a time don’t bother telling the owners about the ‘dog roommates’ for their pets. They just book it and that’s all. Am I wrong? Should I be clear and honest? I always do meet & greet before stranger dogs stay together and I also let owners know about that fact as well I wanna make sure all dogs are happy and friendly. If they don’t act as such, I only keep the oldest dog booking and ditch the last one. I don’t wanna stress anybody out.

What do you do? Am I right by being honest like that? Should I just say it post factum, so owners stress less?? Technically I don’t owe anybody exclusive dog boarding service just for their or 2 dogs at a time. It’s still business, and I charge them a regular price in town.

I’m a good pet sitter with over 15 5-star reviews, and people keep coming back to me. Why do I feel guilty for trying to make more money and board like 3-4 dogs at a time instead of 1-2 like a normally do? Especially when warm days are almost over and in winter people will travel less. Duh…

Idk, please share your way of doing things! Thank you!!❤️
