HSV 1 Test Results -- Seems Extremely High, Confused

Hi all,

Sorry if this is very redundant in this thread, I looked through a multitude of other threads and couldn't find an exact situation. Hope someone can help me understand this section on my STD Results. It reads exactly as this:

HSV 1 IgG, Type Spec Above High Normal : Result: 48.60

(Range/Units: 0.00-0.90)

Negative <0.91

Equivocal 0.91 - 1.09

Positive >1.09

So I totally understand the IgG Results, the Index ranges, what's Negative & Positive, etc. But mine is saying 48.60?? Is this based on the same Index Range or something different? Am I missing a formula? Does this mean a it's a recent exposure? Or -- the opposite, I have very high antibodies? I can't find anything else that reflects that high of a number.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated!
