Trip Agenda Help!

My husband and I are in our mid thirties and coming to the island for the third time in January. This is our first time not staying at Divi . We are staying at The Fourteen on mullet and planning to make this trip more of an “explore the island” trip rather than lounging on the same beach everyday.

A few beaches I was planning to spend days at are pinel, friars bay, baie rouge, and orient.

My questions: 1. I have seen so many posts about driving on the island and the issues with traffic. Should I let the traffic hinder us from exploring the top of the island? Are we going to regret going too far from Mullet?

  1. Orient - we have never been to this area. Where is the best place to get chairs for the day that will allow us to explore everything in this area?

  2. Parking. I have parking anxiety. Does each beach have a clear parking area? Are there any I should avoid due to parking issues?

  3. Friars bay/ happy bay - I understand to get to happy bay you have to hike from friars bay. Is the path easy to find? I have seen posts about “staying safe” and “bring a friend” in regards to happy bay. Is this accurate? Should my husband and I be concerned about crime in this area?

  4. What am I missing!!! If you were staying on Mullet what is a must do for us?? (Food, beaches, snorkeling)

Thank you for your responses!!!! Love, a type A mom that wants to make the absolute most of her first kid-free vacation!
