Why Milchick treats Helena like a common new employee in her intro scene on S1E01?

Literally the title. When they walk togheter before her severence op, he behaves like she's an ordinary new recruit, and she does the same. Are they pretending bc she's doing this in "incognito"? but everyone knows she is the CEO there so...what am I missing here?
