New Shield TV Pro 2019 arrived with a defective power adapter. Is this common?

I ordered a shield tv pro 2019 a few days ago and after switching outlets, checking my UPS and even trying different HDMI cables I couldn't turn it on or get it to display something. No lights (I read there's a light at the top front part?).

After switching outlets for the nth time I saw one of the prongs is plastic instead of metal so I assume it's not making contact, as I also checked at the back of that plate and it doesn't have any metal showing like the other prong.

Plastic prong even has some residue from machining or something

Is this common? It's not on sale in mexico but luckily can be ordered through Amazon Mexico so returning it shouldn't too much of an issue but still, what a disapointment for something so minor. I think I'd rather the unit be doa that have a weird adapter issue like this.
