Should i buy far cry 4 or 6?

I've played both 3 and 5, and greatly enjoyed them. Now I'm Trying to decide between getting fc 4 and 6 since the steam spring sale has arrived. I know many people say 6 was awful, but I'd appreciate an honest opinion on which one is better, has better gameplay, mechanics etc. I don't mind the story being worse than the ones I have already played, unless it really is absolutely shit. I'm also open to any other game recommendations whether they're games similar to far cry or not.

Edit: Thanks for the recommendations! I'll buy fc 4 and play the demo for 6, and if I like it I'll buy it next sale
