Do loyal sims ever stop feeling guilty about their cheating?

I have a sim with the ^horrible loyal trait, who was leading two girls on, then committed to one of them, then kissed the other one (wanted him to woohoo her but he immediately started feeling guilty lol).
I was planning on keeping that a secret forever, have it eat at him for a while, but it's been like 10 days and he still gets tense and guilty whenever he's romancing his now wife. Will he ever get over it, or is all I can do about it either confess or live with my guilt forever?

Edit: Yeah, apparently they do! So much so, my sim now has a thriving affair and not a shred of guilt... So much for loyal
