College athletes, how do you train?

Hi all.

I just ran in my first college meet this weekend, and I ran slow. I was literally the slowest 200m in the room.

My team has 2 other sprinters, that also did poorly. I know I'm supposed to trust my coach, but everyone else seemed faster and stronger and bigger. We run 3 times a week, with 2 of those days being workouts, and the third being a 'tech day'. I then lift on the opposite days.

How many days per week do you run? Do high intensity sprint workouts? Lift?

I get some people are just not collegiate athlete material, and that could well be me... but I'm not gonna toss in the towel like that. I want to train better and get faster, just not sure where to start.
