Subaru EyeSight Randomly Disabling – Is This Common or a Concern?

Hey everyone!

I’ve got a 2024 Subaru Forester Limited here in Ontario, Canada, and I’ve noticed something odd with the EyeSight system. Occasionally, it seems to disable itself randomly for a bit and then comes back on without any input from me. It has happened in clear weather as well.

What’s weird is that I leased a Subaru Crosstrek for a year before getting the Forester, and I never had this issue with that car (Both 2024). This makes me wonder if it’s something specific to the Forester or maybe even my particular vehicle.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it a common quirk of the system? It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, I can’t pinpoint a specific reason (e.g., weather, lighting, etc.).
