Adding friends from match history

I don't understand how to add people from match history. I tried to google it, and it tells me to tap on the player's name from the match history, and an option to send a friend request should appear. That doesn't happen for me. The game doesn't react at all to when I tap a player's name from match history.

Does anyone have the same problem, or know what the problem might be? Thanks!
