Buying a Model 3

For people who recently bought a Tesla and or are thinking about buying one, what made you buy?

Were you nervous?

I'm interested in buying and am thinking of pulling the trigger but I'm a bit hesitant towards the current animosity towards the brand now. For reference, I don't really care about the politics, buying is not a signal of my support or unsupport, its just a good car that will serve me well, that's how I see it. But I'm just concern about having the car in public and the direction its currently heading put some doubt in this decision. I will have home charging but no garage, just driveway, just don't want any vandalism and such in my own home and wherever I go
