Samut Prakan to Bangkok

I had a job offer in a company branch which located in Samut prakan (my preference is in Main city Bangkok). Still contemplating whether I should accept it and move overseas to Thailand. My concern is; How far is it from Bangkok? Would it be okay to get a condo inside the city (like in Asoke, Siam, Bangna etc) or it'd be too much a hustle w the transport/distance?
