Caring Responsibilities

Hope you’re all well.

A member of staff has a child with a disability, they asked my LM if they can work from home every now and then. It was rejected because: 1- the role is customer facing 2- if their request is accepted other people will come with their own

I didn’t want to say this to my staff member, however: I think they have a fair case as I don’t think anyone else on the team has caring responsibilities, especially to that extent.

Is there no way flexibility can be provided in this matter? I am new so therefore I’m mindful. Just thought to bring this to you guys and gage your POVs.
