Dank Drops! So this is the East Coast Yuzu - too funny how I was like “East Coast Yuzu… never heard of them”. I left it in because I made myself giggle at the mistake. So this is my first exposure to this team at Dank Drops. I’m pretty impressed - the high terps coming out of this at 5.2% with myrcene at .9, caryophylene at .8% and germacrene at .6% this is a really interesting flower. Super strong terps. Still licking it off my lips.
Very resinous flower and not hard - more of a dense memory foam that holds its shape. This will compress when squished rather than be ridged. Very satisfying to grind and a moist mossy joint. You can really roll this stuff tight. I enjoyed snooting it and getting a sticky resin on my nose.
Speaking of which, the nose on it revealed the germacrene as the special friend for the session. It added a ginger quality that was really pleasant. The mango of the myrcene played with the limonene but all together it came out almost like a root beer at times. The smoke felt abrasive from the strong terps - when you are playing at 5% you will start to see the same kind of high terp physical effects from inhaling. Weird things like a really dry mouth, coughing, runny nose. Concentrates usually leave me having some kind of physical effect. This did too.
The smoke was really special. The caryophylene was the first speaker but they deep peeper spice was quickly walked all over by the myrcene and the germacrene really left you with this spicy mango root beer soda kinda thing. It was a journey to find this flavour. Let it play in your mouth and on your lips. Take the time to suck on your moustache if you have one. Otherwise, use the tip of your tongue in the corners or your mouth and you will get a secondary burst of flavour after you smoke.
This was a welcome new add - one of those unique micro grows. A cross of G13 and chemdawg - right forgot to mention and playing at 28% THC for a total of 33% cannabinoids. Nice! Good to keep everything moving.
