Eclectic offering to Lady Aphrodite focusing on her Morpho and Symmakhia epithets
Repost? I don't know, I posted this last Friday but my account was too young and my post was deleted. I'm still new to reddit! English is not my first language!!
Last Friday, 14/03, I've made this offering for Lady Aphrodite, focusing on her Morpho and Symmakhia epithets. These were two epithets I was more along and thankful for, and I wanted to make a more elaborated rituals for her.
I enjoy mixing old practices with moderns and personal ones. For example, I always put candles but not because I believe Aphrodite will use them to communicate with me, but because I also worship Hestia and I always put them to resemble her. Hestia always comes first!!! I also worship Hekate, so I also put some witchcraft into my offerings. I asked Lady Aphrodite if she would mind, and she said she doesn't.
I practice in secret, as my parents are really religious. On this case, they weren't around, hence why I've done something like this. Unfortunately, my brother saw and I couldn't complete. He threatened to tell our parents about it. I was devasted, Lady Aphrodite told me not to worry, but I do need to stand for myself. She hates when someone disrespects me and I don't fight back. But that's a personal process I still need to work more on.
Yesterday, 21/03, I didn't do much, mainly because I'm going though some bad times and I don't have a lot of energy right now. But I do gave a cool offering: a colar made with real pearls!!! It was kinda expensive, but not toooooo expensive, as the pearls are small and not perfect round. I made some tests and they truly are real ones yay!!!! Although it isn't perfect, I'm so happy to have found it! She loved it!
To finish this post, I wanted to tell about a book I'm reading now called Magika Hiera. It has an chapter about prayers and I'm truly enjoying. Has anyone read this book yet? Any opinions? I really like to learn about historical offerings to incorporate on mine, so this book is being truly a blessings!!! Do you guys have any books or articles recommendations on devotional work? Tell me about it!!!
