Anyone play Thief on an OLED monitor?

Even on my VA monitor, with much better contrast than any IPS monitor, I can’t play Thief until nighttime because I just can’t see anything except reflections. And that’s on a matte finish screen, not glossy - I think Thief might just be bad on any backlit display. Has anyone tried using an OLED monitor? If so, how was it?
