Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba
The Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba was built in 1963 as a tribute to Tunisia’s first president while he was still alive, reflecting his desire to leave a lasting legacy in his birthplace, Monastir. The structure, blending Arab-Muslim architectural elements, serves as his final resting place. Alongside him, his first wife, Mathilde (Moufida) Bourguiba, and other family members are also buried there.
