Belt rubbed on the wires

Mid ride i noticed that one of my motora was not working and apearently somehow the motor wire started brushing up against the belt the cables dont see to be cut off just exposed but that motor will not work any more . Anybody got any ideas maybe ECU related? All suggestions welcome
