Should My Wife and I Both Get Separate Employer Visas or Stick with Spouse Visa

Hi everyone,

I'm currently on an employer-sponsored visa, and my wife is on a spouse visa. I’ve recently received a new job offer, and the new employer will provide me with a new visa once I cancel my current one.

Now, my wife has also found a new job, and her employer is willing to sponsor her visa or they say they can provide with work permit if she wants to stay on spouse visa. This has left us with a bit of a dilemma.

I’m wondering whether it would be better for:

  1. Me to get my new visa and keep her on the spouse visa, or
  2. We both get separate employer-sponsored visas.

Which option would be more beneficial in the long term in terms of job security, flexibility, and overall immigration status? I’m mainly concerned about what’s best for both of us long term and if having separate employer visas might offer more stability or freedom in the future.

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights from those who have been in a similar situation!

Thanks!
