Can I graduate with a D in 400 level class

I am taking a BIOL 400-level class. As a bio major I need it for my column B elective as part of my degree requirements. I'm likely going to get a D because I woefully failed the first exam and it's almost impossible to bring my grade back up (true for all 400-level classes so be warned!!) especially because I know I'm not going to get a 95+ on the next exam (its tomorrow) just because I never get that high on exams no matter how hard I study.

Does anyone know if a D in an elective will count towards the requirement or do I need to withdraw before its too late??

More context - I don't mind having a D on my transcript - at this point I just want to graduate in the spring but I also don't want to take any hard classes because that'll be my last semester so if I can avoid taking another 400 level class I will.
