Question regarding TCD’s

They’re 4 centers in my building and I am a TCD out of Center #4. If there is available work in another center, and I am the only TCD there and available to work, do I have to go to my supervisor (from Center #4) and ask for permission to work in another center because Center #4 is responsible for me?
