How to feel like a competent UX designer

So for context I’m from a computer science background and have been working as a product designer on and off for 1 year now.

Since everyone around me is graduating to become a software engineer, it feels like I’m going the “easy” route? But I know it’s not easy because I’ve done it. I guess it’s more so “what will people think”-ism. But I’d love to hear people from CS/technical backgrounds that are now in UX. I’ve heard so many times that what I’m doing is so easy and that they could do it and I don’t even have or know of many UX designers I could talk to freely about this. How does one overcome this stupid feeling because at this point it’s affecting my learning and holding me back.
